Kevin Spease for City Council

Kevin Spease grew up in Elk Grove.  He rode his bike to Pleasant Grove Elementary School and was active in 4-H.  Today, he's a local small business owner – running a cybersecurity firm in partnership with his wife, Angela.

As a member of the Elk Grove Planning Commission, Kevin championed efforts to bring more transparency and public input into the planning process.

Kevin and Angela have been married for 31 years and have one son - Jeremy. They both are active in Rotary and are passionate about improving child-literacy.  In fact, they donate a portion of their profits to the Laguna Sunrise-Elk Grove Literacy Project.

Kevin was Honorably Discharged as a Combat Veteran in 2000, but remains active in support of Veterans.  He served as Mentor for the Sacramento County Veterans Treatment Court and is active with American Legion Post 233.

"I think public officials should spend more time listening than talking.  And, when we do talk, we need to mean what we say."

- Kevin Spease

One of my favorite terms in Rotary is ‘Service Above Self,’ and I really believe Kevin portrays that. He’s doing it for the greater good of our community, not for himself.
— Elk Grove Vice Mayor Steve Detrick
